How to Be a Better Co-Worker

每个人都希望有很好的同事。在这里,我们列出的性状特点,你应该制定这样你就可以反映伟大的特质,在你身边的同事,你会喜欢。

Everybody wants to have great co-workers. But as a legendary musician says, you should perhaps start with the man in the mirror. Here we list the traits of the co-worker that you will like; traits that you should develop so you can mirror great traits and have great co-workers all around you. Small talk expert. Bumped into your co-worker on your way to the restroom? Chat a little and show genuine interest in them. Cheerful. Everybody appreciates somebody who greets everybody with a cheerful Good morning! or Hello! Imagine the ice that breaks whenever somebody does that in the morning. Not a gossiper. This co-worker knows that he doesn t want to be talked about behind his back, so he s doing the same for you, for all of you. If somebody dishes out some juicy stuff, just say Really? and then shift the subject immediately. That should send the message that you are not interested in gossip. Loves feedback. Ask your co-workers about their opinion on stuff that you are working on. They would most likely be more than happy to help. Thank them afterwards, and you get plus points for being a great co-worker. Generous with compliments. Is your co-worker rocking a new hairdo? Did Mike repair the router again? Such colleagues are worthy of being praised. After all, how many times in a day do you get to have a new hairstyle or repair the router? Calm and gentle. Every time a co-worker tries to bring you down or confronts you, imagine children watching you. That should help you choose your words and mind your tone. You don t want to stoop down to a level that you don t deserve to be in. Prompt. In meeting deadlines, in replying to emails, the person who s always prompt about these things is the one everybody loves. Not responding or taking too long to respond sends a clear message to your colleagues that they are not so important to you. Good Samaritan. We re not saying you should spend all your time looking out for the good of your colleagues. But going out of your way for a co-worker at least once a week can go a long way in paying it forward. Hard worker, especially if you hold the manager job or the director job. If you will ask your staff to work hard, you should be the first one to stay late in the office and show that you are also pouring in as much work as you expect your peers to do. Handles praises well. Whenever your boss gives you compliments or praises for a job well done, say thank you and then let him know of who the other people are in the team. And when credit that s supposed to be for your teammate was given to you, gracefully acknowledge the one who deserves all the attention. 管理新知 您可能感兴趣的文章 HR如何写一份牛逼闪闪的年终总结?
