How to Write an Effective Job Description
工作描述吸引,阻碍之间有什么大的差异呢?作为一个人力资源专业如何你克服乏味的工作说明,不要做你的公司也未平仓司法?
As the CEO of an executive search firm, I come across job descriptions of all kinds from my clients. Some are great while others fail to attract top talent; this is regardless of how reputable the company is and how much the job pays - the descriptions simply don't work. HR professionals and hiring managers consistently want to improve in this crucial area, but they simply don't know how. The first step is asking the right questions: What are the big differences between a job description that attracts and one that deters? Moreover, as a HR professional how do you overcome bland job descriptions that don't do your company nor open position justice? Below, you'll find just a few tips that will help you attract, procure and retain better talent and increase competitiveness in your industry. 1. Figure Out What Is Exciting About the Position - A job description does not have to be black and white; sometimes facts get boring. Instead, put some opinionated sentences promoting the position throughout the description. Remember that when marketing a job, be subtle about the exciting aspects as you don't want to oversell, but remember to never undersell. Be creative. 2. Figure Out an Exact Title and Test It - Sometimes it's the title that makes candidates disinterested in a position. Be flexible and see what works. For instance, if you are not getting any responses with the title Sr. , see if you can be flexible and use Manager. If you not receiving the responses you want, this could be a big hindrance to getting that buzz around your open job. Keep in mind that nobody wants to take a step back in their career. 3. Be Candid About the Duties and Expectations - Don't overwhelm the reader, but make sure you hit the points that count. If worker has to do x everyday, then you should have it on the job description. Job descriptions, if done correctly should set the tone for the position and the desired outcome of the job. This is something that is not only useful to you, but the information is useful to the job applicant as well. 4. Learn to be More Flexible About Qualifications - Some of the job descriptions we get in scare applicants away because they have 50 different requirements with
20 different duties attached to the position. While you want to ensure that the right people apply, you want to also be cognizant of the fact that the more specific you get, the lower number of qualified applicants you're going to receive. In the End You must use your marketing skills when writing a job description. Make the employee want to learn more. Always think to yourself, Would I want this job? If the answer is no, then you have some tweaking to do. 管理新知 您可能感兴趣的文章 互联网时代的人力资源激励新方式 2015-11-23 实现管理简单化 真的有那么繁琐吗?
