How to Successfully Work from Home

梦想成真吗?从某种意义上说,是的。在家工作可以把你的需要早起和勇敢的通勤到一个无聊的办公桌。但这并不是你所期待的那样简单。

Dream come true? In a sense, yes. Working from home rids you of the need to wake up early and brave the commute to a boring office desk. But it isn t as easy as you expect. Unlike sales jobs and marketing jobs, work from home jobs have minimal personal interactions with workmates and clients, and so make you more prone to slacking and procrastination. You need a clear strategy for your work from home setup so that the quality and efficiency of your work isn t compromised. Here are some tips: Set your business hours. While it is true that you aren t bound by any schedule when you re working from home, you still need to create your own. Set your work hours and stick to it. This way, you won t be working all day, with loads of interruptions that only make you more unproductive. Create an office space at home. Set up a desk in your room and use it as your workspace. You should not do personal or family tasks there, and you shouldn t work in any other area of the house. This will help you focus on your tasks better. Take regular breaks. Don t tire yourself in working just because you don t have regular hours. Your work schedule should include a lunch break, or even a coffee break in between a couple of hours or so. This refreshes the mind, and also gives you time to attend to household matters that may need your attention. Communicate with your team. Even though you might not be required to check up on your co-workers often, it pays to be in constant communication with them. Aside from fostering good working relationships, it also helps make sure that the things you do and the outputs you turn over pass the standards set by the company. Resist the urge to run errands. Even if it is more convenient to pay the bills and pick up the laundry during office hours, you should not abuse the freedom that you have. Treat your work hours with the respect that it deserves. If you really want to make the most out of the time when there are only a few people in the bank or the grocery, set a day for it and compensate for unfinished tasks afterwards. Let your house be. If you are already in the middle of work, resist the urge to clean up or cook. Wait for your designated break time before you tackle household chores, even if it is as small as taking out the trash. Leave the house. Don t lock yourself up inside the house for a whole workweek. Get out at least once a day for a walk, or to fetch the kids from school. This will help you break the routine and keep you sane amidst all the busyness inside the house. Create a routine. Without a routine, you d end up disorganized and confused about what happened with all the time that you had. A routine will give you enough time for each tasks, instead of randomly shifting from one task to the other. 管理新知 您可能感兴趣的文章 What You Can Do to Help Bullyproof Your Workplace 2011-09-30 沙龙2010嘉年华心得分享 2010-04-01 “心动”的战略才有效 2015-05-08 最近文章 TEST 2018年01月15日 嫖娼被抓不属无故旷工,公司解雇赔4万!(法院判决) 2018年01月15日 如何判断你是否具有HRBP胜任力?
